Spider-Man 2 (Playstation)

Created Machine Learned Deformations that run real-time in the engine on several assets, including the Arachknight Suit.
Utilized Side FX Houdini to create training data and Ziva RT to calculate the ML Deformations.
Cape integrated and blended with Real-Time Dynamics.

Ultraman: Rising (Netflix)
2024

In collaboration with Netflix, I worked as a Senior Creature TD at Industrial Light and Magic (Vancouver) on the feature-animated movie, Ultraman: Rising.

Arkie Short for project bidding. I worked on all Technical Animation in this scene, including rigging Arkie's full character, the Leaf rig, and applying dynamic simulations to the environment props.
About Me

Hey, I'm Gerard Amador! I'm a Technical Artist with a focus on Rigging and Creature Effects. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work on some awesome feature films and animated movies. Right now, I’m working in Game Development at Insomniac Games.
I’m originally from the Philippines, but I moved to New Zealand to study 3D Animation and Visual Effects. Since then, I've worked at a variety of studios across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, and it's been an exciting journey of learning and growth.
When I’m not working, I love getting outdoors and hanging out with my two dogs, Congee and Chestnut here in Toronto, Canada. I also play a hefty amount of Fortnite Reload on PS5.
